The ibladesmith Tracker knife is very versatile. The overall thickness of the blade is 1/4" thick making it heavy enough for chopping but still light enough to carry. The curved belly of the knife has a convex grind giving it extra strength and can be used for chopping and processing wood. It is also great for roughing out spoon blanks. This part of the blade is also used for skinning. The straight section of the blade closest to the handle has a flat grind for general knife work. This section is 2 inches wide making it very easy to sharpen on a 2 inch belt. The spine has a curved area which is used for scraping. This is generally used when preparing a hide after skinning. Finally, the Tracker can also be used as a draw knife when a piece of leather is placed over the tip of the spine to protect your hand. All in all, an incredibly useful tool to take into the woods. Priced from £480 GBP subject to specification plus postage.
